Kanta

A hand-carved cactus in deep espresso lacquer, speckled with pale cream dots and tipped in soft sage. Three-armed silhouette, glossed and finished by hand.

The craft behind it: Each button is turned and carved from wood by lacquer artisans of Banaras, a craft carried through families for generations. Colour is layered by hand on the lathe, then detail drawn in with a fine brush — dot by dot, line by line. Every piece is finished individually, sealed in gloss, and left slightly its own. Nothing here is machine-made.
