The same elephant form in a warmer rosewood lacquer, painted with cream detailing and a yellow howdah blanket. Hand-carved, hand-painted, glossed.

The craft behind it: Each button is turned and carved from wood by lacquer artisans of Banaras, a craft carried through families for generations. Colour is layered by hand on the lathe, then detail drawn in with a fine brush — dot by dot, line by line. Every piece is finished individually, sealed in gloss, and left slightly its own. Nothing here is machine-made.
