A round lacquer button in pale ivory, hand-painted with scattered black dots. Sealed in high-gloss finish, each dot placed by hand so no two buttons repeat.

The craft behind it: Each button is turned and carved from wood by lacquer artisans of Banaras, a craft carried through families for generations. Colour is layered by hand on the lathe, then detail drawn in with a fine brush — dot by dot, line by line. Every piece is finished individually, sealed in gloss, and left slightly its own. Nothing here is machine-made.
